So finally we get to the story/background of one of the biggest antagonists of this series; Miyo.

I can somehow imagine how someone like her, turns out to be so evil and bad. First she loses her family (in a gruesome accident), then gets sent to an orphanage, where all kids are abused (horrifically) and then she has a bit of brightness when she gets picked up by her grandfather. But even there it isn’t always light and fun.

So yeah, this one had some (Higurashi is known for it’s gruesome images) very disturbing images. Kids being pecked to death, kids in lockers are put under the shower, kids are beaten, hung above the toilet to clean it up with their mouth. Also the images from the train accident, were pretty gruesome. So beware!

In overall, I would have to say it was a great book, it gave lots of information about Miyo, why she is doing what she is doing now. And I really can’t wait for the next volume.
