Review for Something like Normal

Review for Something like Normal

Something like Normal Book number 4 for me on the list of NA books that Gisbelle recommended me.

Small review.

I absolutely loved this book. Travis was a really likeable character and I really felt for him during the whole book. Though of course he made some stupid mistakes (having sex with your ex, who also has a new boyfriend??? Bad, very bad thing to do), but he soon knows what he is doing is wrong and focusses on the right girl again.

I loved Harper, she was a really cute and lovely girl, and I was really cheering for her and Travis to get together.

In overall, I am super happy I tried this book, it is beautiful and wonderful, though I am kind of hoping for a second book, since it felt a bit short. Like they have a relationship, and book ends. I want to know more about them, to see them together, love each other and more.

Review for 100% Coco

Review for 100% Coco

Review for A Midsummer Night’s Scream

Review for A Midsummer Night’s Scream

A Midsummer Night's Scream Well this was a disappointment. 🙁

Claire was really bleh to the end, a whiny spoiled little brat.

The deaths were just lame and comical (to be expected though).

The story felt a bit dragged, I sometimes just skimmed pages because nothing happened except for Claire and her whining.

Review for Slammed (Slammed, #1)

Review for Slammed (Slammed, #1)

Slammed (Slammed, #1) Book number 3 for me on the list of NA books that Gisbelle recommended me.

I will keep this short, since well, this book just blew me away. It made me cry, it made me laugh, it made me angry (Will… gah make up your mind!), it made feel a whole lot.

It was a wonderful, emotional trip. It was just perfect. 2 people meant for each other, but due to things couldn’t be together, but still kept their love, and in the end could be together. *sniffles*

And that ending, I cried, really cried. It was so sad, so much, and so beautiful.

I will be sure to read book 2! And probably book 3! I want to know how it continues.

Review for The One Safe Place

Review for The One Safe Place

The One Safe Place This book was a lot of Starters with a mix of dystopianness where the world doesn’t have much water, only the rich have that.

It was an interesting book, but sorry I just couldn’t finish those last pages. I felt like I was reading Starters.

Quite a big part of the book was quite awesome, though the whole world setting of there is no water was soon forgotten soon after you got to the house part. But yeah, the awesome part was destroyed when we got the whole “”revelation”” of what was happening to the kids.

The house part was creepy, but it was quite easy to figure out what caused the kids to walk around dazed.

In overall I would give it 2 stars.

Review for The Carbon Diaries 2017 (Carbon Diaries, #2)

The Carbon Diaries 2017 (Carbon Diaries, #2) I quite liked the previous book. This book however, not so. It was too dark, too extreme and I also didn’t like Laura all the time. The on and off relationship with Adi wasn’t working either, and her kissing Nate and flirting with Sam… no thank you.

Some parts were really great, but a lot was just wtf, no.

Review for Hopeless (Hopeless, #1)

Hopeless (Hopeless, #1) Book number 2 for me on the list of NA books that Gisbelle recommended me.

And what a wonderful book it was. I loved both of the characters, they were just perfect together, I loved how they teased each other, their kisses were sweet and their love amazing.

I was so sad for Sky when she found out about her past, how broken she was, and how it affect Holder, and how he stuck with her and held her.

I would say more, but words cannot describe this book. It is just perfect.

I will be sure to read the next book. (I bought it recently online, so it will be here in a few days.)

Review for How I Got Skinny, Famous, and Fell Madly in Love

Review for How I Got Skinny, Famous, and Fell Madly in Love

How I Got Skinny, Famous, and Fell Madly in Love I received a copy from the publisher on Netgalley in exchange for a review.

First of all the good parts, well, that is easy. Everything up to almost the last page was fun, interesting and I really liked it.

Emery was likeable, though I wanted to shake her at times. She became fat because she likes eating junkfood, and not just junkfood, but mountains of it. I sometimes was disgusted by how she described all that food and how she all sneaked it in and ate it.
I loved how she gradually changed and though lots of things went wrong, she stayed strong and kept going.

Her family however… Her mom is obsessed with how she looks (and uses botox for extra firmness), her sister is (thanks to mom) addicted to her weight and how she looks, her dad… well he is mostly MIA.
I really didn’t like how the didn’t support her most of the times. They thought she would give up, wouldn’t make it. And that made me sad, a family should support their family members, and parents should be there for their kids, not just leave them hanging.

I really liked the reality tv show, that was a fun idea to do and added an extra twist to the whole: Girl has to diet theme.

Ben, ah Ben. He was cute and sweet, and he deserved better.

Now for the -1 star; the ending. I absolutely, seriously HATE endings like in this book. Making me all excited, making me all want that ending because of everything that happens (the twists! The diet! Ben!) and then BAM. Just stops, drops and stays dead. We get a 2 months after chapter with nothing much disclosed. And I am really really sad. I absolutely loved the book up until the ending.

But this kind of ending? It should be forbidden. Now I still got many questions left, things still open and waiting to be closed. It is a shame. 🙁

If you don’t mind sudden endings, and you do like: reality shows, punky big girls, bad parenting and a girl trying to diet, then this book is for you.

Review for Snow White Blood Red (The Grimm Diaries Prequels, #1)

Review for Snow White Blood Red (The Grimm Diaries Prequels, #1)

Snow White Blood Red (The Grimm Diaries Prequels, #1) I wanted to read the first book in this series (not the prequels) and decided to read the prequels first. Well those that I could find easily. 🙂

This book was really awesome, I love the writing style. I don’t know who I find scarier, Snow White or her mother.

I liked how it broke fourth wall a few times, and that they did it correctly and in a fun way.

I will be sure to read the rest of this series. And then the first book.
