I must say, that I really disliked the new girl and also Maud. I thought Maud was Mildred’s best friend, but as soon as Mildred has a job to do, she gets jealous and runs off to the meanest girl in the school, Ethel. I really wanted to smack Maud through the book.
Then we have Enid, who seemed like a good girl, but is actually even worse than Mildred. Not only in being a witch, but also with getting in trouble.
Poor Mildred, doing her best to do well at school, only to get in trouble for something she didn’t do. 🙁
But all in all, it was a fun book, because like the previous book, Mildred does something awesome and it is all good. And of course, who can resist a good detailed story and lovely illustrations.
