What I Hope To Read May 2014

Hiya all,

Welcome to the first (at least for this blog) post about what I will be reading in a month. This post will be posted before or in the first week of that month. I will first list my pre-orders (that I still will have to read) and then books I am really interested in.

pre-orders

Not a lot, luckily, though I got enough books I would love to try out. 🙂

My Little Monster 2 by Robico. ~ I am looking forward to this one, I watched the anime when it was airing, and I was all happy when I heard that Kodansha would bring the manga out in English. On one side I hope there will be new scenes, on the other hand, I hope that the anime followed it closely.

The One by Kiera Cass. ~ Easily one of the most anticipated books for me, for 2014. I have followed the series since the first book came out and I am now really excited to see what will happen. Will America pick Maxon? (Please do, please please do) Or will she pick Aspen? (Please don’t, he is just blergh) But no matter who she picks I am sure it will be a rollercoaster ride of awesomeness. 🙂

The Strangers by Jacqueline West.  ~The penultimate book in a wonderful and fantastical series, I can’t wait for this one to arrive, and then it is waiting for another year for the last book to come out in paperback.

The Battle for Wondla by Tony DiTerlizzi ~ The last book in a series that I truly enjoyed. Illustrations, great and also strange characters and a mission. I can’t wait to read this book, though I will be sad to see it go.

So in order:

Everything Leads to You by Nina LaCour ~ Romance, Cameras, Films, Hollywood, yes please. 🙂

Love and Other Foreign Words by Erin McCahan ~The blurb sounds highly interesting, a girl who lives in translation? Who speaks in all kinds of interesting “languages”,  and add to that Weddings, Love, yes I am interested. 🙂

After The End by Amy Plum ~ WWIII? Dystopian? Lies? Wow, it sounds like a very good book and something I will probably highly enjoy.

Since You Have Been Gone by Morgan Matson ~ What would you do if your best friend just disappeared? Well this best friend named Emily finds a list and decides to go through it. Me? I can’t wait to see what is on the list and who this mysterious Sloane is.

Fat Boy and the Cheerleaders by Geoff Herbach ~ Geeks vs Jocks with beverages? Epic Battles ensue? Oh My, I am so in! I will be cheering for the geeks.

Take me On by Katie McGarry ~ No description needed, this is just a must read.

Will the Real Abi Saunders Please Stand Up? by Sara Hantz ~ 2 reasons for this book: 1. The Title and 2. Kickboxing!

Broken Hearts, Fences, and Other Things to Mend by Katie Finn ~ I read an excerpt for this book, and I fell in love, I can’t wait to start this one. Also that title is just creative and fun.

Oblivion by Sasha Dawn ~ I am a big psychological thriller fan, and the blurb for this just sounds awesome. I can’t wait to read it and find out what happened to Callie and Hannah.

The Cabinet of Curiosities: 36 Tales Brief & Sinister by A Whole Lot Of Authors! ~ I love short stories, especially when they are eerie/mysterious and sinister. That cover, isn’t it just perfect! Does remind me of a certain book about a flying castle though.

The Worst Girlfriend in the World by Sarra Manning ~ The blurb just sounds great, I am kind of curious about Alice and also about Franny. I hope this will be one Sarah Manning book I will like, so far I haven’t found any I liked, but I am hopeful.

I kill the Mockingbird by Paul Acampora ~ I never read To Kill A Mockingbird (yes I know, horrible, just never had an interest in it, I might read it someday though), but I love the blurb for this one and I can’t wait to see what those kids will do to get people to read the MockingBird book.

Torn Away by Jennifer Brown ~ Tornadoes? Family Issues? Death? I am very interested in this one and I can’t wait for it to come out.

The Heiresses by Sara Shephard ~ Mysteries? Fortune? Family Curses?  Count me in, I am curious, and hope this one will be great. So far it has been hit and miss with this author’s books.

Well that is it for this month, what will you be reading this month? As much as me? Or do you only pick a few books and read those? Let me know, either through here or through twitter or goodreads. 🙂
