Review for Maya’s Secret

Review for Maya’s Secret

9780857631053Wow, I hated Maya. Dear lord that kid was annoying. And the whole book wasn’t that good either. Sure, I expected some of that let’s save the world, but instead most of the book was about it and it came over really pedantic. I just got annoyed at her and how she was pushing her stuff to people (especially her mom), I really hate it when people do that. Sure, you can tell me about your problems and the world’s problems, BUT don’t expect me to fix my habits or expect me to change just because YOU say so. NO. Just NO.

Review for Monstrous Maud Book 1 to 4

14611820Review for book 1 to 4.

I saw book 5, and at that point didn’t know it was book 5 (and Goodreads didn’t mention this was a series, so that didn’t work either). Luckily I found out (due to things happening in book 5) quite early that it was a series (and of course I added a series thing on Goodreads to warn others as well).

Review for the Scarlets (Asylum #1.5)

9780062367273What I expected: Guy we know from the insert number of book going to college and getting invitation to some kind of group named Scarlets. What I got: Guy we know from the first book doing horrendous at school, drinking (and probably smoking), gets into problems and is bribed by his dad (who is named Roger), lots of things happen, though not much with the Scarlets, and then bang ending. Not much of a spoiler, so don’t worry. 🙂

Review for 17 First Kisses

Review for 17 First Kisses

18602660I was hoping I would enjoy this book, and at times I did, but at most times I didn’t. I think it mostly because the topics didn’t match and it was just too much. We got kisses, slut shaming, rivalry, popularity, family drama, death, abuse, depressions, dating a teacher and some other stuff. Normally this all might make a good book, but it felt mostly patched together in this book.

Review for First Love

Review for First Love

97817808924815 stars, though I would rather give this 6 stars. Beautiful, heartbreaking, a must read!

This will be a short review, since I don’t want to spoil the things that happen in this book (you can so easily spoil things, and that would be a shame) that pop up in this book. I really liked the surprises and sudden twists and turns.

Review for Magnolia

Review for Magnolia

9781442485358The book grabbed me because of the Romeo and Juliet retelling part. Now while indeed you can see the references, I would rather called it inverted Romeo and Juliet or Romeo and Juliet with a twist. Instead of having parents/family who hate each other, we got 2 families/2 parents couples who love each other and are trying (too hard it seems) to get their 2 kids together and let them get married.
