What I Hope To Read August 2014
Hello everyone,
It is a new month, filled with books. 🙂 And also an upcoming vacation (so excited!~).
First of my lovely pre-orders. And oh my are they lovely. Lots of manga, though Jeanne should have come out last month, but for some magical reason Viz books are taking a month longer at Amazon.de.
Now for the list (and additional comments should those be needed):
Sisters by Raina Telgemeier ~ I loved book one, so imagine my joy when I found out it would become a series.
Isla and the Happily Ever After ~ ISLAAAAA <3 That is all I will say.
I knead my Mommy by Francesco Marciuliano ~ I loved his other books, and was delighted to find out his next book was about kitties. <3
Say I Love You Vol.3 by Kanae Hazuki
Loveless Vol. 12 by Yun Kouga
Deadly Little Sins by Kara Taylor ~ Oh My, what a rollercoaster ride this series has been. I can’t wait to read the conclusion, hopefully it is as good as the rest of the books.
The Terror Behind the Mask by P.J. Night ~ Can’t wait for this book, I see dark cellars, creepy masks and darkness. This series is proving to be pretty awesome, and I can’t wait for this latest installment.
Violet and the Pearl of the Orient by Harriet Whitehorn ~ I love detective books, I love them if they are from Middle Grade. I saw some previews and this book looks perfect for a nice summer night.
Phantom Thief Jeanne Vol. 3 by Arina Tanemura ~ Supposedly had to come out last month, but as I have noticed, it is VIZ and at Amazon.de that means ~1 month of delay in delivery. 🙁
Rosario + Vampire: Season II Vol 13
Astray by Amy Christine Parker ~ I read the first book some months ago, and while I don’t see in why we need a second book (I won’t spoil anything), I am kind of curious as to how it will turn out. What will happen in this book. The cover is at least gorgeous.
A Little Something Different by Sandy Hall ~ I just love the blurb and the cover for this one, and I am really excited to read it.
Feral by Holly Schindler ~ Darkness? Twists? Turns? I am in. It sounds like a wonderful horror book.
Mortal Danger by Ann Aguirre ~ Just this: “Revenge is a dish best served cold”.
A Blind Spot For Boys by Justina Chen ~ This book sounds very cute and lovely, I can’t wait to read it.
Amity by Micol Ostow ~ Amity house is one of my favourite horror houses (and with it its many stories), and when I heard there would be a new one, I just knew I had to try this out. The reviews/ratings seemed to be mixed, some love it, some hate it. I do hope it will turn out to be like for me.
Can’t Look Away by Donna Cooner
How to Fall by Jane Casey ~ On the one side I am not looking forward to this since it is a series, and I am looking more for Standalones, but I will read it because the blurb and the cover sound/look nice.
I love I Hate I Miss My Sister by Amelie Sarn, Y. Maudet ~ I love books about other cultures, so this one is a must-read for me.
Into the Grey by Celine Kiernan ~ A ghost story in the middle of summer, yes please!
Magnolia by Kristi Cook ~ This sounds like a cute book, though I hope the whole hate thing is done tactfully and not overdone. I don’t mind 2 characters hating each other, but if it gets annoying, then no thanks.
Random by Tom Leveen ~ I am always interested in the topic of Bullying (I got my reasons), and I just have to try this book out.
Six Feet Over It by Jennifer Longo
The Unfinished Life of Addison Stone by Adele Griffin ~ I heard quite a bit about this book, and that it is mostly eye-witnesses/people who knew her stuff, and that is what interests me. It is a turn from the normal book where you have the main character talking and we finding out stuff through her.
Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover ~ Colleen Hoover, do I need to say more?
Dangerous Boys by Abigail Haas ~ The previous book was kind of interesting (that ending), and I am kind of curious as to how this one will turn out.
365 Days of Wonder: Mr. Browne’s Book of Precepts ~ I loved, adored the book Wonder, and I loved Mr. Browne, so I can’t wait to see this book.
Ghost House by Alexandra Adornetto ~ More Ghost Houses/Ghost stories. I can’t wait!
Finding Ruby Starling by Karen Rivers ~ Long lost twins? Digital stuff? Parent Trap? I am very curious as to how this will go.
The Book of Bad Things by Dan Poblocki ~ Wow, it is a the summer of Horror/Ghost stories. This one sounds really awesome and that cover. Wow, that is creepy and so fitting.

So as you can see, I have a lot to read, lots of things to look forward to. I can’t wait. It will be a wonderful month. What will you be reading this month? Anything you would recommend?
