Hello everyone, it is so nice to see you all again. Welcome to a new Waiting on Wednesday. This week we got a new series of an author that writes some awesome Steampunk books. It is also a series that I actually should put on hold until I read the books in another series, but I just can’t wait and I will probably just get it and read it. 🙂
So here we go. This week’s most anticipated book is:
When Prudence Alessandra Maccon Akeldama (Rue to her friends) is given an unexpected dirigible, she does what any sensible female would under similar circumstances – names it the Spotted Custard and floats to India in pursuit of the perfect cup of tea. But India has more than just tea on offer. Rue stumbles upon a plot involving local dissidents, a kidnapped brigadier’s wife, and some awfully familiar Scottish werewolves. Faced with a dire crisis and an embarrassing lack of bloomers, what else is a young lady of good breeding to do but turn metanatural and find out everyone’s secrets, even thousand-year-old fuzzy ones?
So why do I really want to read this book?
Two reasons: One it is Gail Carriger and I love her books. She writes some awesome Steampunk books filled with romance, corsets, vampires, werewolves, spying and more! Reason 2: I really like the Parasol Protectorate series (though I am terribly behind and only read book 1 (I know, I know!)) and this one is set in that world. I can’t wait to start reading this. Though I should probably read the first series as well. But I am soooo busy and I got so many other books!
