So I am enjoying a hot and sticky Wednesday with temperatures over 30C. Yes, my country is experiences a nice heatwave. How is everyone faring on this day? Doing anything special?
But let’s start talking books, shall we? This week’s most anticipated books are:
Everyone at Hundred Oaks High knows that career mentoring day is a joke. So when Maya Henry said she wanted to be a rock star, she never imagined she’d get to shadow *the* Jesse Scott, Nashville’s teen idol.
But spending the day with Jesse is far from a dream come true. He’s as gorgeous as his music, but seeing all that he’s accomplished is just a reminder of everything Maya’s lost: her trust, her boyfriend, their band, and any chance to play the music she craves. Not to mention that Jesse’s pushy and opinionated. He made it on his own, and he thinks Maya’s playing back up to other people’s dreams. Does she have what it takes to follow her heart—and go solo?
Darling Charming is bored in Damsel-In-Distressing class. She’d much rather be in Hero Training with her brothers. The only thing is, she has secretly been helping her brother Dexter ace the class. If anyone finds out, a scandal would erupt at Ever After High. One of the most prestigious families in town, the Charmings have a reputation to uphold. Darling is destined to be a damsel…but this Rebel may want to decide her own destiny! Why should princes have all the fun?
So why do I really want to read those books?
Jesse’s girl. I just adore that cover, the blurb sounds amazing and I just love Hundred Oaks books and I am truly excited to read a new part in this series. Hopefully it is just as good as the previous book.
A Semi-Charming Kind of Life, I just love that series, it is a great MG book series with great characters, diverse cast, great world and I just love re-tellings and this one spins those in a whole new way. And Darling Charming is one character I am really interested in, I have read about her in other books and I just love myself a kick-ass girl character who just wants to do all the stuff her daring brothers can do. Can’t wait to read a story from her POV.
