The next day, I lacked the strength to run. We set our pace accordingly. Fear gnawed at me with relentless teeth, and the darkness made it worse. First my mind conjured monsters and then I imagined I heard them creeping along behind us, worse than the Freaks, smarter and scarier too.
Te dark didn’t seem to bother Fade. He led the way without faltering whereas I found myself living for those rare moments when we found a broken tunnel. Light fell in crossed threads, lightening the gloom for precious seconds before we passed through.
Review up for Lightning
A good book, but however the plot really took a turn for the what the hell is happening and characters I liked from the previous book turned to be quite bitter (of course, logical, if you know what happened, but still, it was their idea in the end, so they shouldn’t go boohooing afterwards when poo hits the fan).

Welcome back to the United Kingdom, now swarmed with blue zombies (smurfs anyone?) with yellow eyes and a big appetite for anything living and moving. The only safe place is on sea/water, as these critters don’t like water, and also can’t swim.
Review up for Trick or Trap
1.5 stars (1 star overall for the book, 0.5 stars for the ending). Phew, I am glad I finished this book. Though I am also really disappointed, the blurb and the cover looked really awesome, and I was just waiting for Halloween to start reading this one.
