Daisuke Moriyama is one of my favourite artists. I just adore his art for Chrono Crusade (a Must Read manga and must watch anime btw), so when my boyfriend and I spotted this one at the (one of the two) ABC bookstores we just both knew we wanted it. 😀
I already knew it was going to be a great book, but after reading it, wow! There isn’t only art for Chrono Crusade, oh no, there is art for his other manga/other series, there are several art works that he made for magazines and so much more. This book is a treasure trove for fans of this artist.
Chrono Crusade, of course, takes the biggest chunk of the book, I just loved seeing all the characters back, though it also brought a big case of the feels to me. I suddenly remembered all that happened in CC, what happened in the ending (both manga/anime endings). So I had to wipe away a few tears that threatened to escape.
The art is gorgeous, I just love that the artist keeps a style that makes him really recognizable, but also in a way that characters don’t look alike. Like some other mangaka/artists have.
All in all, this is one art book I would really recommend to everyone who is a big fan of Chrono Crusade and/or this artist.
