Waiting on Wednesday ~ The Geek’s Guide to Unrequited Love

Hiya everyone~!

How is everyone doing on this fine, fine Wednesday (though it is almost midnight, and thus almost Thursday, yes, I am up late still writing this post for you all)? I hope all my readers are doing great, and are enjoying some amazing books.

As for me? I had a fun day going to the city of Library #4 today and I got a whole haul of new books to read and enjoy (well at least I hope so). It was a busy day, but oh so fun.

This week I got a book that I am really really REALLY looking forward too. A book by a writer whose first YA book is a favourite of mine, one I will always recommend to everyone. I am hoping that this book will just be as awesome, sweet, delightful as her first book.

Here we go, this one is my Waiting on Wednesday book! Less than a month to go!

…Graham and Roxy?

Graham met his best friend, Roxana, when he moved into her neighborhood eight years ago, and she asked him which Hogwarts house he’d be sorted into. Graham has been in love with her ever since.

But now they’re sixteen, still neighbors, still best friends. And Graham and Roxy share more than ever—moving on from their Harry Potter obsession to a serious love of comic books.

When Graham learns that the creator of their favorite comic, The Chronicles of Althena, is making a rare appearance at this year’s New York Comic Con, he knows he must score tickets. And the event inspires Graham to come up with the perfect plan to tell Roxy how he really feels about her. He’s got three days to woo his best friend at the coolest, kookiest con full of superheroes and supervillains. But no one at a comic book convention is who they appear to be…even Roxy. And Graham is starting to realize fictional love stories are way less complicated than real-life ones.

So why do I really want to read this book?

I just love books that are about comics, or about comic cons (I am still hoping for an English book about an Anime con though). And this one is just that + a lovely hint of romance. A boy, a girl, and he wants to show her how much he likes her by going to a con. It sounds just so perfectly sweet, and I am just really curious about these 2 characters, and also about what kind of plans Graham has to woo this girl. I also can’t wait to be thrown head first in a pool of references, since it sounds (from the blurb) like it will have that a lot.
Also again, as most of you know I am a cover lover, that cover is just so adorkable.
