Waiting on Wednesday ~ The Creeper Man

Waiting on Wednesday ~ The Creeper Man

Hello everyone~

How is everyone doing today? I hope you are doing great. As for me? I am quite happy these days, and while I am a bit tired I am feeling pretty good. 🙂

Like last week I got a horror/psychological thriller book that I would love to read, it sounds like a creepy, scary read, something that I am in the mood for, and probably will still be when the book finally hits the shelves. There aren’t that many creepy reads coming out (at least not if you compare to some of the bigger genres out there). I am actually still hoping for a good zombie book this year.

27270657When Silla and her little sister, Nori, escape London and their abusive father, Aunt Cath’s country house feels like a safe haven. Leaving the smog and fear behind, the girls have the love and freedom they never had in their violent home. But slowly, ever so slowly, things begin to unravel.

Aunt Cath locks herself in the attic and spends day and night pacing; every day the surrounding forest inches slowly towards the house; a mysterious boy appears from the enclosing wood offering friendship, and Nori claims that a man watches them from the dark forest. A man with no eyes who creeps ever closer. . .

So why do I really want to read this book?

First up because it is a creepy read/horror read, and I just want to read it for that reason alone. Like I said, it isn’t easy to find good horror/creepy reads, so I am delighted whenever one comes out that looks great. Second of all, the blurb sounds amazing, I am really curious about that aunt, why is she locking herself up in the attic? Who is the mysterious boy? And who is the creepy man that stares at them from the forest? So many questions, and I just want to know everything.
Also that cover, it looks creepy, but it is also drawing me in the book (yes, even more than I already am). I am a bit curious as to why the girl is drenched in ink(?).
