I received this book from Netgalley in exchange of an honest review.

What I was expecting was just a fun book on folding clothes, fashionable stuff, instead I got much much more.

The book isn’t only about folding these clothes, it also gives us tips on what goes best in real life with these type of clothes. Like what shoes would be nice, or how to combine it with a certain accessory or clothing. It was really fun, and it gave the book something extra. It made it even more fashion, and even more fun. Now you can not only learn how to fold these cute clothes, but you will learn how to style it in real life.
There are also tips on what colours to use as paper, or what paper to use. For instance for the clutch that one should use thicker material and then mention what kind. It just makes the book more interactive then it already is.

I also love how the origami clothes look. They are all so much fun. The only ones I didn’t really like would be the backpack (it didn’t look like one) and the raincoat (it looked just blocky/chunky). Other than that? I loved them all, and I will be trying them all out.

For this book I selected a few (OK, in the end it turned out to be more than a few), to test if the instructions are clear, and if they are all doable. I have read a few origami books, and sometimes it isn’t always clear what you are supposed to do, or things are suddenly magically done.

I have tried out several (well OK, most :D), and I have to say they worked really well, make sure you have thin paper (not thicker origami/folding paper), we tried a bit of a thicker kind, but it was really difficult and impossible to do, though we were determined to at least try because it had such pretty colours. Luckily, we had a lot of other thin origami papers to try out. 😀

The instructions are quite clear (with the exception of one kind, that was the folding of a small border) and folding the dresses, the skirts, and all the other clothes and also the accessories
weren’t that hard, even when a bit difficult the instructions really helped out, and even warned when there were stuff that were magnified or when you had to do things (in symbols, but also in the text underneath the figures).

And as expected, at the beginning you had a small course on what kind of different steps there are in origami. Handy for beginners, but also for those of us who do more origami, but at times forget how a certain move was done. So if you forget one you could easily scroll (or if you have a physical copy flip) back.

All in all this one is a really fun way to spend a day, you will have a lot of fun things to pick and make. Mixing and matching the clothes you made. Added jackets and sweaters and a lot more. I am sure young and old will love this. Some of the folds may be a bit tricky, but I am sure it will work out if they try it out. 🙂 I would recommend this book.
