Review for Heidi Heckelbeck and the Big Mix-Up

28953931So I never read the other books in this series, and while that apparently isn’t needed I was still a bit confused about one thing. The girl can do magic? Or does she just think she can do magic? Or is it something else entirely?

I don’t see anything else happening magically, nor are there any hints the girl is a witch, but maybe the other books feature it more and this one is just the one with only 1 thing happening. If I find the other books I might try them out, as I do love our main character in this one.

Heidi is a sweet girl who really cares about her friends, she tries to help them both, and I was delighted that she tried all she could to get them together again.

Lucy was a good girl, but I wish she wouldn’t jump to conclusions that easily. This is your best friend, and you think he would do that? Sorry, but what?
I did love that she seemed to love reading so much, even hiding in a library. (On that library, I would also want one like that. A giant tree to read in? Yes, yes and yes please!)

Bruce, I mostly felt sorry for him, and I could imagine why he was so angry. Still I found him the most lacking character in the book.

There are also illustrations everywhere and they really complimented the book. The style was cute and sweet, perfect for this sweet book.

All in all, this is a book I would recommend. It is a sweet book about friendship.
