So, as someone who also has food allergies, I had to check this book out and see what kind of concoctions they were making.
And I did find some that looked heavenly and delicious. I will definitely try them out when I have the chance.
There are some recipes that are quite familiar to everyone, however, in this book they removed stuff so that everyone can eat. I didn’t even know you could swap the peanuts out of peanut brittle with something else. 😛 Or the peanut butter cups could be without peanuts. It is quite a delight to see them make something that still looks yummy, but now without the dangerous peanuts or other bad food stuff.
I also liked that while they were already taking care of most allergens, they even added a small part to each recipe should you want to remove even more. For instance when they used wheat, and you are allergic to that, they offer some alternatives. Or if you can’t eat dairy they tell you what to skip and what to use instead. It is a really great idea as this way everyone can enjoy the recipe.
There are also chef’s tips, and like with the allergen alerts, I like that they were added. They add a bit of variety, but also give some insight on various things.
The photographs are gorgeous, and they made me drool. 😛
The book is also split up in various categories, from main dishes to desserts, your full meal will be found in this one.
All in all, this is a great book, and I think that parents and, of course, people like me, will love this book and be able to use it to its fullest. Definitely would recommend!
