Review for I Want A Friend
I received this book from Netgalley in exchange of an honest review.
I spotted this book and it looked really cute. And it was! Sure, I have to say that I didn’t always like the MC. I can understand you want a friend, but there are better ways than digging holes and capturing them in nets. 😛
But I can also understand how he felt. You see everyone around you having fun, having a friend, and you are alone. You also want someone to play with, someone who doesn’t run away. Someone who will be there for you.
I loved what happens after he gives up. It was a really sweet, and happy part, and I was so happy for the little guy. He definitely deserved it, though I do hope he won’t go and try to capture friends, instead just let them come to him, or just talk to them instead. 🙂
The ending was also sweet, too bad we won’t see the girl smile, but I am sure she will smile when she spots these two coming for her.
The art is definitely my favourite part, it is colourful, it is fun, I love the character designs.
I would definitely recommend this book to everyone. Looking for a fun book about friendship? With lovely illustrations? Check this one out.
