Today I had some time to visit Library #4. I needed some new books + the weather was quite lovely. I didn’t spot anything new in their catalogue online, but I was hoping that they still had some new books located in the library. And they did! I found 7 books to read, a few new, a few a bit older, and one I already tried but wanted to give another try (Fashion Academy).
Also, fun news, I spotted a book I wanted in the stack near the reception/help desk, and asked the librarian if those books were allowed to be taken out. I pointed to the book I wanted, and she said no, because she was going to be using that for the Kinderboekenweek (Children’s Book Week) in October. Since the theme for the book fitted perfectly with the theme of the week (horror/creepy stuff). I was of course sad, but we had a talk about the book and about Kinderboekenweek. She was asking if I was a teacher/working in education, and I replied no, but I am interested in children’s books, and that I review them on my blog (in Dutch/English). She was quite interested in my blog and we had a longer chat, and she told me her colleague was also quite interested and asked for my name and email address. Squee. I was quite nervous, but also excited, OK, mostly nervous. 😛 It just the first time that a library expressed an interest in my blog and I am quite curious if they will contact me. 🙂
I just had to let you all know, I got to share this kind of news with my readers!
So back to my great Library #4 haul! Since I am sure you all want to know what 7 books I got from the library!
