Review for Lady Stuff: Secrets to Being a Woman
I received this book from Netgalley in exchange of an honest review.
I spotted this book on Netgalley, I was really curious about it. It seemed like a book I would enjoy. It sounded a bit like Sarah Scribbles (and I love those).
And today I had the chance to read it and I just don’t want to get enough. All of these comics are so relatable. I kept going AH! TRUTH or OMG, YES TO THE MAX! all the time. And yes, I was shouting that. RIP people near me. 😛
Whether it is about PMS or how one feels when one gets home from a busy day or about hay fever, this girl will tell you all about it in fun, short comics. Sometimes one single illustration, sometimes a whole comic of multiple panels.
At times I wondered if she was me. I almost wanted to look over my shoulder to search for the camera. I guess we girls are pretty much the same with several things.
The book is split up in various sections. From Grooming and Habitat Maintenance to Mating Habits (so hilarious, that guacamole stuff) to Social Conduct and many other topics. I really loved that it was split up like this. Now when I have the book (because yes, I am going to buy it) I can just flip to sections when I need some relatable content (though I probably will end up reading the entire book). 🙂
I love the style of the comics, they are simple, but you can really tell what is going on in them. Also I love the colours.
All in all, I am fangirling about this book and I will recommend it to everyone (not only on here, but everywhere).
