The cover definitely lured me into requesting this book on Netgalley. 🙂 I always love it when people add doodles to photographs.
This book was pretty decent, not bad, but I also noticed that I was a bit bored while reading it. It just missed something, something that grabs you. It just didn’t capture my interest. Even though the topic is one that I was really interested in.
It does have a lot of information about water, from rivers to oceans, canals and dams. A lot of various things are mentioned in this book. They are all split by topic/chapter.
The book is a mix of photographs and doodles. I am not too sure about the doodle puzzles located on every second page. They were interesting (and a fun addition), but a bit too simple (maybe the really tiny kids would like them, but they wouldn’t really be able to read the book), plus the style of the doodles is fun to add to photographs, but on its own it lost its magic.
So yeah, a bit of a disappointment, but I am still happy I had the chance to read this book.
