Review for Superheroes Club

I received this book from Netgalley in exchange of an honest review.

You, too, can be a superhero! Everyone can be one!

I spotted this book at Netgalley and I just had to try it out. It was quite a bit different from what I expected though. Though more in the format. I thought this would be a normal children’s book, but it is actually a beautifully illustrated picture book!

We meet Lily who has a skill to change clothes while being buried under a pile of clothes! She has a show and tell thing at school (I always love reading about those in books, though I am glad we don’t have them here) and she thinks of something amazing.

You really don’t need superpowers to be a superhero, as Lily shows her friends. One can be a superhero by doing daily stuff. Yep, by sharing and caring, donating stuff you don’t want/need to relief funds, helping out if someone is bullied, and other things. It was great to see how the kids were first sceptical about the whole thing, but then turned very enthusiastic about the idea that they could help out the world.

They even start a Superhero club. And I can’t wait to see what they will be doing in that club, how they will change their world.

The art is gorgeous, I just adore the style. It is cute, and the characters just leap off the pages!

I would recommend this book to everyone. It is really inspirational, and I am sure this will be a great read for kids or to use it in a classroom.
