Waiting on Wednesday (Special + Combo Edition) ~ Goldfish Ghost + The Bad Mood and The Stick by Lemony Snicket
Evening all,
Today a short post, and also the last special edition. Just a few more days and it is Christmas. squee I can’t wait to see what kind of presents I will get from Santa, and I am curious what my boyfriend will think of his presents (I got him some very great presents, sadly I can’t tell you anything, I know he sometimes reads my blog. :P).
For this post I combined books, as they are both by the same author. Namely, Lemony Snicket! I love that Daniel Handler keeps writing under that alias, even now that the Unfortunate Events series (and that other series that fits in the universe) are over. I could have bought both books (LS is pretty much on my instant buy list), but I wanted to see if Santa would get them for me. As for the reason why I want the books: 80% = Lemony Snicket, 10% the blurb, 10% the covers. 😛
Dear Santa, I know it will probably be impossible to get these books (as they have to come from Amazon/Book Depository, sometimes it sucks to live in a country where these kind of books are impossible to find), but if you can’t do it, please leave a message to the birthday fairy (not that long to go before it is my birthday). These 2 books are #3 and #4 on my list.
Goldfish Ghost was born on the surface of the water in the bowl on a dresser in a boy’s room. The boy’s room was pleasant and familiar, but Goldfish Ghost wanted company, so he set out to find a friend.
He floats over the neighborhood, past the pier, and let the breeze carry him into town where he discovers that not many people pay attention to goldfish ghosts.
Off he floats, searching for the perfect home and the perfect friend…
and then he hears a voice…
Lemony Snicket sheds light on the way bad moods come and go.
Once there was a bad mood and a stick. The stick appeared when a tree dropped it. Where did the bad mood come from? Who picked up the stick? And where is the bad mood off to now? You never know what is going to happen.
