Library Haul 22-12-2018

Hi all!

Welcome to my Library #2 + #3 Haul post! Yep, on a Sunday. I wanted to do it yesterday but we didn’t get home until 6pm (it was just crazy busy everywhere due to Christmas), since we had a birthday party we had to go to, and had to eat dinner, I decided to move the Library Haul post to today.

So here we are! As always, first visit is Library #2. I had 5 reservations waiting, and 3 books still at home that needed to be read, which meant I could still bring 7 books with me. I was hoping I would be able to find those as I could use some books to read. 🙂

I was quite saddened to find out that the mini library I discovered next to the library last week was now a sad remnant of it. Someone either took away the doors to the shelves… or stole them. I am not sure which one applies. But now the books that were still there were wet, bend, and sad. And my plan to play Book Santa fell apart as well. I had planned to bring a ton of books I didn’t enjoy (or not enjoy enough) there for Christmas, as a present. But yeah, now I am not doing that, I don’t want my babies to be damaged. 🙁

Back to the library again, after sending a tweet cancelling my Book Santa appearance, I wandered around and quite soon found those 7 books I was hoping to find. 2 Christmas books (yay!), 2 non-fiction books, and a picture book. One happy Mehsi.

Then off to Library #3. I found one new book at the new releases table and decided to take it with me (because the last time I didn’t the book was gone by the time I got back again after my shopping/walking through the city centre). Oh, and yes, I went to Dunkin Donuts (which just opened there). I had to wait for 20 minutes, but I got 3 gorgeous donuts to eat over the coming days. Yum! Sorry, bit random, but donuts are important + they were the reason why I didn’t go to Library #3 last week (the store wasn’t opening until this week).

After all that and more, it was time to walk around Library #3. After some time of disappointing hauls I didn’t have high hopes, but quite soon I came to the realisation that this may well be one of the better hauls this year. At the Childrens/YA part I found 6 books! Which meant, due to the earlier picked book, I still had 5 more books to go. I decided to also grab some comics, and found two new series to try out, Azimut + Chimère(s) 1887.

All in all, a fantastic haul. Oh boy. I can’t wait to read all these glorious books. I got a whole week (plus next week 2 days) to read, read, and read.

Stats: 24 books, 12 from Library #2, 12 from Library #3. 4 non-fiction, 6 comics, 2 picture books, 12 fiction.

Oh, and I will add the missing books to Goodreads as I read them. I will be updating the list with links as that happens.
