Welcome all, welcome to a Christmassy Waiting on Wednesday. This week a book that is already out, and which I spotted at Library #1. Sadly, I can only have 2 books at a time there so I couldn’t bring it with me, and then when I was there on Sunday there were no editions in the library! Oh no! Hopefully, when I am better, it is in the library. I would reserve it, but Library #1 just asks too much money for a reservation.
So, here is the book. It features two favourite things and combines them. Dinosaurs and Christmas. A boy who wants a dinosaur for Christmas, and now it is up to Santa to deliver. I am quite curious if Santa will be able to get it. If we go by the cover (and title), yes he is getting a dino, but I do hope for some twists and turns and tons of surprises. I can’t wait to read this magical story, and with Christmas around the corner it is the perfect book for this season. Reading under my, hopefully set up then, Christmas tree. Perfect! 🎄
Oh, and I can’t forget that Shane Devries is illustrating the book, I just adore his art. 😍
The book I have seen in the library is Dutch, but I will use the English description to make sure everyone can read it.
The Christmasaurus is a story about a boy named William Trundle, and a dinosaur, the Christmasaurus. It’s about how they meet one Christmas Eve and have a magical adventure. It’s about friendship and families, sleigh bells and Santa, singing elves and flying reindeer, music and magic. It’s about discovering your heart’s true desire, and learning that the impossible might just be possible.
