Today is January 31st, so I thought it would be fun to use that for today’s Teaser Thursday. Since this one is an ebook, I went with 31%.

She must have sensed him hesitating on her front lawn because she came to the window and unlatched it, leaning over the box of flowers. The moonlight made her hair gleam like spun silver. It also made the white teeth inside her smile resemble horrible, gnashing fangs. Clay didn’t know if he should run at her or away from her.
By the tilt of her head and the come-hither motion of her hand, probably far, far away.

There once was a boy who heard the Whispers.
He heard them late in the day as the lazy sun dipped below the treetops and the woods behind his house came alive with the magic of twilight. The voices came to him so gently he though it might be the win, or the first trickle of summer rain. But as time passed, the voices grew louder and the boy was sure they were calling his name. So he followed them.
