Waiting on Wednesday ~ Just Jaime

Waiting on Wednesday ~ Just Jaime

Evening,

Yay, it is Wednesday! Welcome to a new Waiting on Wednesday~ This time for a new book by Terri Libenson, namely Just Jaime.

I already read her other graphic novels, Invisible Emmie and Positively Izzy, so I was very much delighted to see she was making a new graphic novel in the series with a new protagonist and a new story. And with yet another fabulous cover in a fun bright colour.

This time about friendship between two girls which is changing as they get older and a new school year is coming up. Which is something we can all relate to, I know I had the same thing happen to me. I hope that Maya and Jaime have more luck with their friendship and getting it back on the rails. Even if their interests don’t align completely any more. I can’t wait to read it, and it makes me happy that we will be seeing both Jaime’s and Maya’s POV and not just one of them. I think it will definitely help with the story and getting all the feelings across. Now I just got to wait until next week for this one to come out.

Friends. Frenemies. Middle school…
The last day of seventh grade has Jaime and Maya wondering who their real friends are.

Jaime knows something is off with her friend group. They’ve started to exclude her and make fun of the way she dresses and the things she likes. At least she can count on her BFF, Maya, to have her back . . . right?

Maya feels more and more annoyed with Jaime, who seems babyish compared to the other girls in their popular group. It’s like she has nothing in common with Jai anymore. Are their days as BFFs numbered . . . ?
