Welcome all to a brand-new Sunday’s TBR Updates~ yawns Where did the weekend go? The past week was pretty full with all sorts of things, but I also got some fabulous news from my sister in law (yay). My arm (from the flu shot) is all better again, it took until Wednesday for it to totally be better. Yes, it was quite a week but thankfully I could also throw in books during several moments, and read a ton during one of the days when I just had to take a day off because it was just all too much for my body. I should really make it my resolution next year to give my body more rest.
What did I read from my TBR Pile? Phew, let’s see! Alex Sparrow and the Zumbie Apocalypse (so funny and perfect for the upcoming Christmas season), Stillhouse Lake (exciting and OMG twists and turns), all the Zar en books (which I liked in various degrees, I loved the game world the kids were in), After Dark (didn’t always feel the friendship, but loved the scariness and the ending), 100 dagen kanker (a nicely written book about the author’s 100 days of cancer and what she experienced, I found her a bit too critical at times about people), In de bosjes (hilarious and interesting).
I also tried and dropped Wayward Son (which still makes me feel terribly sad as it was one of my most anticipated reads), The Poet X (the MC’s voice just wasn’t for me), The Exact Opposite of Okay (I got a bit tired of the MC and how she talked).
What did I read from my Kindle? I got a new book last week: Hoe moeilijk kan het zijn?, which I really liked though not as much as his next book. Remember the ARC I was talking about? Well.. I got real tired of things in that one (especially how the royal family treated the MC) and dropped it.
Here is a brand-new and very big stack of books that I hope to read. The top three are the ones going to be read first, in fact I already started with the Dierendokter Pim boek which is the topmost book.
We have reached the end of this week’s post again. I want to thank all of you for reading and I want to wish you all a happy Sunday. I will be spending the rest of today with books and games.
What books are on your list this week? What do you want to read the most? Let me know in the comments~
