Welcome to the Blog Tour for Rogue Princess by B.R. Myers! I am soooo excited to be part of the tour as the book looks (that cover!) and sounds amazing. Cinderella is one of the stories I just love and this one takes it and gender-swaps it around.

For today’s post I got an excerpt, you can join a giveaway (sorry all, US only), and oh yes read all about the book + meet the author.

Are you ready to get started? Then let’s go! twirls

Rogue Princess, Landscape, Green, Yellow, Sky, Clouds, Woman, Braid, White Dress, Cover, B.R. Myers

A princess fleeing an arranged marriage teams up with a snarky commoner to foil a rebel plot in B. R. Myers’ Rogue Princess, a gender-swapped sci-fi YA retelling of Cinderella.

Princess Delia knows her duty: She must choose a prince to marry in order to secure an alliance and save her failing planet. Yet she secretly dreams of true love, and feels there must be a better way. Determined to chart her own course, she steals a spaceship to avoid the marriage, only to discover a handsome stowaway.

All Aidan wanted was to “borrow” a few palace trinkets to help him get off the planet. Okay, so maybe escaping on a royal ship wasn’t the smartest plan, but he never expected to be kidnapped by a runaway princess!

Sparks fly as this headstrong princess and clever thief battle wits, but everything changes when they inadvertently uncover a rebel conspiracy that could destroy their planet forever.

“There is no militia who is more loyal or fierce than my own,” Prince Felix continued, still bent over, polishing the flier. Delia wasn’t sure if he was sweet-talking the machine or her.
Then she felt a nudge to her side. Shania stood there holding a heat-shielding umbrella, staring at Prince Felix’s backside. She winked at Delia and showed her the mini infoscreen in her palm.
Shania had added a new category to her rating list of top picks. Delia rolled her eyes.
Unable to stifle her laughter, Shania snorted out loud.
Prince Felix stood upright. His chin dipped in a curt bow. “Princess Shania,” he said. “I trust you are well this fine day.”
“Just enjoying the view, Prince Felix.” Shania beamed back. “You’re going to outshine the suns if you keep polishing like that.”
His expression was serious. “A smart soldier keeps his equipment in top working order.”
“Oh?” Shania exaggerated the length of the word. “Do you polish your equipment every day?”
“Yes,” he answered steadfast. “Every proper soldier on Trellium has been trained to do so.”
“So admirable . . . so disciplined,” Shania cooed. “Do your hands get blisters, though?”
He frowned and looked down at his palms, then back up to Shania.
She continued, “If my sister chooses you for a husband, perhaps she can help polish your equipment?”
“Serving in the military has strengthened every part of me,” Prince Felix said, his tone purposeful. “I take every task to heart to complete myself, no matter how small.”
“Small?” Shania giggled.
Delia’s ears burned. “Thank you for the delightful conversation,” she stammered to Prince Felix. “I’ll let you continue your prep for the hunt.”
He nodded to both of them, then clicked the backs of his heels smartly before turning back to the glider.
“Good luck,” Shania called out over her shoulder. She linked her arm through Delia’s as they walked up the slope toward the gardens. “His hair is perfectly parted and so precisely trimmed. How does he do that? Do you think he brought his own stylist?”
Under the shade of her younger sister’s umbrella Delia finally found her voice. “If Mother heard you speak like that you’d be locked in the library until you were thirty.”
Shania sighed. “I’d still find something romantic in there, I’m sure.” She pinched her sister’s elbow. “Honestly, Prince Felix might be the one. Think of how much fun suppers will be! Although the children might suffer, I suspect he doesn’t know how to play anything except war.”
