Sunday’s TBR Updates ~ 2-2-2020
Afternoon all!
Welcome to a shiny new Sunday’s TBR Updates!
I am glad this week is over. Fun things did happen, but I was also still sick + I said farewell to an online anime radio I did song tagging on. Now the last thing can also be a good thing as I finally decided for myself. There were plenty of things that just didn’t work at that site, like for instance communication with the boss, who btw, never said goodbye to me when I left on Friday. But I will also miss it, I have been there for 13+ years and doing song tagging for 10 years. So it is a bit of a mixed bag.
In regards to reading, it was a pretty good week with quite of wonderful reads looks at Tweet Cute and Loveboat, Taipei which were her top reads. Let’s just ignore the 6 books I DNF-ed. 😛
What did I read from my TBR Pile? Moppereend (funny and cute though I do hope the duck said sorry), Time to momo: Kopenhagen (I already wanted to go here and now I want to go even more), Tweet Cute (CUTEEEEEE! Mmm, grilled cheese), Loveboat Taipei (sweet, funny, and the first book where I loved the love triangle), Björn (funny, cute, and sweet, still got questions though), Stijn vindt het uit (I loved seeing what Stijn invented and in what kind situations he lands himself), ‘t Verrukkelijke kinderbakboek (stories + recipes = success), Iedereen op Claudia (weird, but also kind of interesting).
I tried and dropped: One of Us is Next (truths were eh, I didn’t care for the characters, and more), Frankly in Love (I wasn’t in love with Frank), Verschijning (went too much fantasy for my liking), The M Word (read only a few pages and lost interest), Trinkets (I will check out the Netflix and see if works that way), Alles wat ik voel (this author’s writing style is just not for me, this is the last time I try one of her books).
Here is a new pile with books! Including a book I found yesterday (Scummy Mummies) and is high on my read this week list. Plus, I need to read The Hand on the Wall! I want to know how it all ends. Eep!
That is it for today! Thanks for reading it and seeing what I read/dropped and what my plans are for this coming week. I hope you have a wonderful Sunday, may it be filled with tons and tons of books. Enjoy!
