Welcome to a new Waiting on Wednesday, this time a graphic novel! Namely: Nat Enough.
I already was interesting in the book for the pun title (I love puns), but I also loved the blurb. I think I can relate to Nat quite a bit. I also lost my best friend around that age, for many reasons, and it took me a while to just stop caring about that person and just focus on myself and that it was OK to be who I wanted to be. I would find friends, and I did. I am curious to see how Nat will experience things and how she will discover her talents and that she is good the way she is. I want to cheer for her.
I also like that the cover shows us how Nat feels (heartbroken) in an interesting way by using her shadow and having her look down.
Just got to wait until April before it is released.
Making friends isn’t easy, but losing them is even harder!
Natalie has never felt that she’s enough — athletic enough, stylish enough, or talented enough. And on the first day of middle school, Natalie discovers that things are worse than she thought — now she’s not even cool enough for her best friend, Lily! As Natalie tries to get her best friend back, she learns more about her true self and natural talents. If Natalie can focus on who she is rather than who she isn’t, then she might realize she’s more than enough, just the way she is.
