Sunday’s TBR Updates ~ 29-3-2020
Afternoon,
Happy Sunday and welcome to a new Sunday’s TBR Updates!
Thanks to my blog I at least know what day it is. 😛 Week 2 of isolation and we are in it until June 1st, at least that is the prognosis. I have tried distracting my mind a bit, hunting for books to read (as libraries probably won’t open any time soon and I need books), doing my work, blogging, cleaning the house even further even though it is already clean. It was a crazy week. I am glad I am not alone in this, that my husband is here with me in the house. That we are doing this stay inside together.
Reading-wise, well I have to ration my reading and slowing down my pace. Which means my TBR piles will not go down as fast as normal. But I did read some really fun books that got my mind of things for a bit. I started reading some more manga again, so that is also good and now I got some series to look forward to the coming weeks.
What did I read from my TBR Pile? Mickey and the Animal Spies (Humour, animals, spies, it was terrific), Blue Curacao (it was ok, the mc was a bit too naive), Winterwereld (eh, it had some exciting moments with an interesting whodunnit), Voetbalvrouwen (this was pretty fun to read and I loved reading about Gran Canaria), Pssst (a great non-fiction books for kids about psychology and mental health, very well written), Vos en Haas (not so fun, there were too many stupid moments that ruined the story).
I tried and dropped: Katten en Katers (I tried, but it felt too much like that reading of a literature list for Dutch in High School aka dry and not my thing).
And here is a new stack of books! I know that due to rationing I won’t be reading all of these but at least I got plenty of choices! With quite a few books from last week, but also a couple new ones. I also added my Harry Potter illustrated edition, my plan is to read a bit each night before sleeping.
That is it for this week’s Sunday’s TBR Updates! Thanks for reading~ So what are my readers plans this week? Is everyone doing OK in this unstable world right now? Let me know.
And I want to wish everyone a good weekend, hopefully with some fun activities. I am going to be playing games and reading.
