The TBR Book Tag

Morning all!

Welcome to a brand-new tag! The TBR Book Tag!

A big thank you to Soph from Book, Blog & Candle for tagging me, I delighted to answer these questions! Check out her answers to this tag on her blog.

My TBR ways may be a bit weird, I don’t put hundreds of books on a shelf, I only count books I actually have in my possession. I just get way too nervous if I have hundreds of books staring at me. I had a TBR like this when I first started Goodreads, but it was just too daunting and in the end I read less instead of more. So I went to only listing books I actually had and wanted to read.

Let’s get started!

1 — How do you keep track of your TBR pile?

Goodreads. I got 3 shelves for books TBR. To-read-Library for library books that I got at home and want to read. To-read-home for a couple of books I have at home and want to read. And lastly, to-read-review for review books.

2 — Is your TBR mostly print or ebook?

99% print.

3 — How do you determine which book from your TBR to read next?

I’m a mood-reader, even for my library books it just depends on what I am into at the current day. Though sometimes it is just the book that screams the loudest for attention. 😉

4 — A book that’s been on your TBR the longest.

Haha, I don’t know exactly. I mostly try to finish books as soon as I receive them, but I know that Heartless is from 1/2 years ago and still needs to be read. I am just not in the mood for Marissa Meyer at this moment so she will probably stay unread for a bit longer.

5 — A book that you recently added to your TBR.

Crater Lake. Just got delivered Thursday and I am eager to read it.

6 — A book on your TBR strictly because of its beautiful cover.

None at the moment. All the books on my TBR are there because I want to read them for their innards. 😛

7 — A book on your TBR that you NEVER plan on actually reading.

I don’t have any. Again, I put books on my shelves when I actually have them, so I do plan to read them eventually.

8 — An unpublished book on your TBR that you’re excited for.

I got a review book that is coming out in May 5th, Four Days of You and Me by Miranda Kenneally. Definitely want to read that very soon.

9 — A book on your TBR that basically everyone has read except you.

I don’t know. Maybe the new Diviners or the newest Truly Devious? I still need to read the last books to both and they are both on my stack. I have seen plenty of people reading and reviewing them.

10 — A book on your TBR that everyone recommends to you.

None.

11 — A book on your TBR that you’re just dying to read.

All of them.

12 — The number of books on your Goodreads TBR shelf.

Currently I got 33 on To-read-Library though that number is a bit off as quite a few books I got from my libraries aren’t on Goodreads (Dutch books, yay). I got 11 to-read-home though that number is also off as I only select the ones I am looking the most forward to, I think I actually have around 20 books still to-read-home. And lastly, 3 books on my To-read-Review shelf.

And that was it for this tag! I had tons of fun answering the questions, I could use some distraction from all the corona stuff and being cooped up mostly at home.

I tag everyone! I just don’t know who has done this tag out of my friends/fellow bloggers. Be sure to let me know if you do this tag, I love reading everyone’s answers.
