Stuck at Home Book Tag
Afternoon all!
Welcome to a brand-new Book Tag… The Stuck at Home Book Tag! A very fitting tag for the moment. Things are opening up again this past week and more is opening next week, but we are still told to stay mostly inside and work from home. Probably will be until a vaccine pops up.
I found this tag at the wonderful blog of My Bookish Fantasy! Check out her blog and her answers to this tag.
The tag was originally created by Allonsythornraxx.
Are you ready? Here are my answers!

At the moment, nothing. But I am planning on reading 2 ARCs soon. One is called Mochi Magic and is about making mochi, and the other is named Gustavo’s Ghost and is about a cute ghost. What I will read after that, no clue. Got a busy day!
What is your favorite “can’t leave the house” activity?
I don’t really have activities specially for this time, my life has been pretty much the same in the way of what I do daily, it is just all at home with no going outside. But I guess one of the things I love to do is gaming and building Lego. My hubby and I finally added more shelves for our Lego so now we can finally go through our backlog of Lego that is waiting for us.
A book you’ve been meaning to read forever
I don’t really have anything on my TBR that fits that (as I have a small TBR with mostly new books), but let me have a look at my books on my OMG Need To Buy Shelf. Let’s see, now I need to pick one of the books. I guess I will go with The Warrior Princess of Pennyroyal Academy by M.A. Larson. It is a book that has been on my OMG Need to Buy Shelf since 2018 but I just haven’t had time to buy it, plus it is never in a right price category for me.
An intimidating book on your TBR
I will go for either The Hand on the Wall by Maureen Johnson or The King of Crows by Libba Bray. They are both last books in their series and OH BOY, I am just worried I may not like how it ends, not to mention, I don’t want the series to end.
Top three priority books on your TBR
Since my TBR is pretty small, I am also going to count my library books I have with me.
1. Aurora Burning by Amie Kaufman, Jay Kristoff (own)
2. Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan (library)
3. Wespennest by Kerstin Gier (library)
Recommend a short book
Exodus by Jen Minkman. An absolutely gorgeous 27 pages book that had me crying.
Recommend a long book
Oh boy, this is a hard one, can I just recommend two? First up The Discovery of Heaven (Ontdekking van de hemel as I know it in Dutch) by Harry Mullish which was a total freaking fantastic book which I loved reading when I was a teen and has a total of 905 pages. Second is The 13½ Lives of Captain Bluebear by Walter Moers which is a stunning book and I loved it so much, it has a total of 704 pages in English.
Something you’d love to do while stuck at home
Going outside again. 😛 Sorry, that is really the only thing I would love to do at this moment. Besides, as I said, most of my schedule for the day is still the same as always, it is just all inside. I guess if my schedule wasn’t the same (no work/no blog), I would love to do all the baking. I have been baking here and there when I could, trying some new recipes, making some old recipes, I just love baking and have been doing it for years, with a bit of a time between as for a few years of my life I didn’t have a good oven (combi microwave/oven that just burned everything), but last year I moved and finally there is an oven. My hubby is currently drowning in cookies. Oops!
What do you plan on reading next?
I would love to try out A Darker Shade of Magic, but in the end it all depends on my mood. 🙂
