Happy Sunday and welcome to a new Sunday’s TBR Updates!
Phew, another week passed! It was a pretty OK week with another free day on the 5th to celebrate Liberation Day (though we only get free once every 5 years) which also was my dad’s birthday though of course I couldn’t see him, but I did send a card. And then 2 days later some of our IKEA stuff arrived and we had fun putting it all together and now our home is getting more and more together, hopefully before we live here 2 years (next year April) we have everything done. As for my health, I am getting sleepier and sleepier for some weird reason, my mental health took a further dip, but thankfully with two fun days it did go a bit better.
Reading-wise, I tried keeping to my rationing of 1-2 books a day, but ended up reading a bit more as I really just wanted to hide. I read quite some fun books which was a nice mix of new books, ARCs, re-reads, and library books.
What did I read from my TBR Pile this week? Get Well Soon (just as fun as it was 7 years ago, loved our MC and loved seeing her get better), Read it and Weep (scary and awesome, chain letters became much creepier), What A Doll! (scary though also a bit hard to read), The Revenge of the Invisible Giant (a delight though the MC needs to stop obsessing about stuff, loved the magic and new species we saw), Winterchalet (not a fan of cheating, but this was fun and interesting), Allemaal beestjes (hilarious and cute, I loved the twins and their daily adventures), Vind lieveheersbeestje in Oceaanstad (super cute and oh so much fun, I read this one together with my hubby and searched for everything).
From my Kindle I read: Nothing! I was more in the mood for physical books.
I tried and dropped: Liegbeest (boring, bland plot, horrible characters, and a story that just seemed to never end).
And here I have for you my newest stack, with some library books (just got a few more left), some books I want to re-read, and some new books. My Kindle image is just the same as last week, this week I am really going to read Last Girls as that one is scheduled in 5 days. Oh, and not in the picture as I am reading it and forgot to add it to the stack is Stil by Eva Burgers.
Thank you all for reading, we have reached the end of this week’s Sunday’s TBR Updates! I want to wish you all a very fun and book-filled week. Stay safe, stay healthy. <3
