Welcome all my dear readers to a fun new tag. It is June and so I just had to participate in this delightful Mid-Year Freak Out Book Tag!

I am not too sure who the original creator is of this tag, so shoot me a comment if you know/want me to add that. I found this one on Dream Come Review, be sure to check out her answers.

I had tons of fun answering these questions, finding books (some I didn’t even need to find).

Ready? Then let’s get started!

♕ ♕ ♕ ♕ ♕ ♕ ♕ ♕ ♕ ♕ ♕ ♕ ♕ ♕ ♕ ♕ ♕ ♕ ♕ ♕ ♕ ♕ ♕ ♕ ♕ ♕

1.) What is the best book you have read so far in 2020?

The Bees, Laline Paull, Bees, Hive, Yellow, Black Letters, Dystopia, Fiction

Phew! Just one book! OMG. How? But OK, I will try to pick one. goes through her 5+ starred list This one then! This was an amazing and stunning book and I would recommend it to all.

2.) What is the best sequel you have read so far in 2020?

Don't Call Me Grumpycorn, Space, Rocket, Friendship, Narwhal, Mermaid, Jellyfish, Unicorn, Children's Book, Humour, Funny, Colourful, Rainbow Mane, Horn, Space Outfit, Picture Books, Planets, Sarah McIntyre

I haven’t read a lot of sequels of books in the way the question means. I did discover new series, but I am guessing this question is meant to be about sequels for books you read in earlier years. And then I have to pick this book. It is such a wonderful sequel full of space travel, unicorns, and friendship.

3.) What is a new release that you haven’t read yet but want to?

The Hand on the Wall, Truly Devious 3, Maureen Johnson, Young Adult, Mystery, Green, Clock, Brush, White Letters

And also the newest Diviners, Aurora Burning, and another couple of books. I am planning on reading them during my vacation.

4. What is your most anticipated release for the second half of the year?

I got multiple books, though most are for the upcoming 2 months. I generally look per month if there is something. There are a few exceptions of course.

5. What was your biggest disappointing book so far?

Llama Out Loud!, Annabelle Sami, Allen Fatimaharan, Red, Llama, Annoying Animal, Girl, Colourful, Parents, Children's Books, Illustrations, Magic, Fantasy, Friendship, Chess

I have a few disappointing reads, but none were as big of a disappointment as this book that I finished 2 days ago. It looked and sounded so good, but in the end I was just annoyed and disappointed with each passing page.

6. What was your biggest surprising book so far?
Scandalous Passions, Highland Menage, Nicola Davidson, Purple, Man, Women, Polyarmorous, Romance, Multiple POV, Sword, Scotland, King, Queen, Sex, Historical

I am normally not a fan of when three (or more) people are in love (the dreaded love triangle or what comes after that), it always ends with chaos… but then I found this book through a blog and absolutely loved it. This was three people in love, no arguments, just sweetness and tons of love. It is a very happy surprise to me and I definitely want more polyamory books in my life.

7. Who is your favorite new author (debut or new to you)?
Bet on Love, A.F. Zoelle, Purple, Red, Man, Torso, Bare Chest, Romance, LGBT, Cover Love, SexyThe Good Bad Idea Series, Cute, Humour, Love Means More, A.F. Zoelle, Yellow, Green, Purple, Guy, White Shirt, LGBT, Dual POV, Sex, Religion, Brothers, Family
I discovered quite a few new authors this year, and by far my favourite would be A.F. Zoelle! I have read two books by her this year and I loved them both. Can’t wait for her next book.

8. Who is your new fictional crush?

I haven’t really found anyone to crush on this year who is new.

9. Who is your newest favorite character?

The Cosmic Atlas of Alfie Fleet, Chris Mould, Martin Howard, Dragon, Treasure, Blue, Planets, Humour, Adventure, Children's Books, Travelling, Silly,

Alfie Fleet. I love how dedicated he is, how he loves to travel and write down everything about the worlds he visit, plus he is smart and not afraid.

10. What books made you cry?

Ehm, many as my mental health has been drastically low for the past months. Anything these days causes me to cry.

11. What is one book that made you happy?

Snapdragon,Inside of Book, Graphic Novel, Kat Leyh, Children's Book, Magic, Fantasy, Family, LGBT, Witches, Animals, Growing Up, Dogs

Snapdragon was an amazing and great book and it made me so happy. The MC was an amazing girl and I loved seeing her discover magic.

12. What is the most beautiful book you have bought or received so far this year?

Crater Lake, Jennifer Killick, Children's book, Horror, Mystery, Alien, School Trip, Lake, Woods, Moon

This one is one of my favourites this year! The cover also fits so well with the story. It has that darkness, that spookyness, that someone is watching you.

13. What books do you need to read by the end of the year?

Sooooo many. I got quite a few releases I am looking forward to.

And that is it for this wonderful fun tag. I am not going to tag anyone specific as I have no clue who still wants or hasn’t done this tag yet, so I am just going to tag everyone. Feel free to do this fun tag and be sure to let me know if you do, I love reading everyone’s answers to the questions. Thanks for reading, and hopefully I can find another book tag soon, I love doing these.
