Sunday’s TBR Updates ~ 14-6-2020

Afternoon all!

Bakemonogatari, Books, Gif, Red Books, Girl, Boy, Diving/Jumping, Anime

Happy weekend to everyone, and a big welcome to a new Sunday’s TBR Updates!

Well, it was a better week than the past 2 weeks, so I am happy with that. Currently working on my wedding anniversary gift (got a week to go to finish it), getting a vacation TBR (just 1.5 month to go), enjoying some books while it read (and it was a rainy week), baked a new cake (yum), just to name a few fun things this week.
Reading-wise it went OK, less dropped books this time! Yay! I finished that one ARC I have had for 2 months which made me happy because while it was a fun book.. it was also a book I HAD to read, and I just can’t handle books that I have/must read since High School.

What did I read from my TBR Pile this week? Winterzon (pretty good exciting book), Bot (fun with plenty of adventure, but translation was a bit stiff and the ending disappointing), Valencia (I loved visiting Valencia through this book, lots of yummy food and gorgeous photographs), Barcelona (want to go to this city for real so badly), Orion Lost (great book with lots of sci-fi, character grow, but also a cliffhanger), De Donkere Dagen (18 stories, 16 were pretty good, exciting twists endings for each).
From my Kindle I read: The Oddmire Book 1 (pretty OK, but too many POV for my liking). Not shown on my Kindle are Pizza my heart (instalove + instamarriage, eh, but great puns), Muffin Compares To You (instant love again and quick marriage as well, it went so well at first).

I tried and dropped: Ijskoud (just not into the POV of a police officer), Ik vind jou (I dropped it as soon as the mom withheld information from the police), Pjotter zegt altijd ja (thought this would be just a picture book with some information, but instead it was the other way around, not interested).

Here is a brand-new stack with some books from last week and some new books. Also added a new book to my Kindle TBR, a book I got approved for on Netgalley and needs to be read by early July.

Thanks for reading, we have reached the end of this week’s Sunday’s TBR Updates! I want to wish everyone a good Sunday and a good week, be safe, stay healthy. \o

  1. You’ve read a lot of books so far and it sounds like you’ve found a mixture that you enjoyed. I managed to read two books yesterday as part of a read-a-thon I’m taking part in which has helped me to catch up on my TBR for the month. Hopefully I can read all the books I want to this month and I hope you find some more you enjoy too.

    1. Yep, it took some years, but now I found what I truly like. It helps that I don’t care about people’s expectations any more on what you should read at x age. 🙂 Oh, congrats! Readathons are amazing. I hope that you can read all your books that you want to read, and I hope you also enjoy them. Thank you!
