Happy Sunday, welcome to a brand-new Sunday’s TBR Updates.
It hasn’t been a good week, mental health wise or body wise. Been feeling queasy all week now. 🙁 But I made the best of the week as I could. Despite feeling queasy eating some nommy foods, doing some self-care, baked some cookies, adding a new feature to my blog (Inku Crate Unboxing), and yesterday I went to the garden-centre (missed that place) to get some much wanted plants for my garden (which turned from just planting into one hell of a job to get a big dying/sick plant out which my hubby and I managed after 1 and a half hours).
Reading-wise… well I dropped/DNF-ed quite a few books. Sadly. But I also did read some fun books that I did enjoy. Just sad that many books I was looking forward to turned out to be duds.

What did I read from my TBR Pile this week? Kan het even normaal? (hilarious and fun, I flew through this book), Buurtpolitie (both of them) (very funny and I loved the stories and characters in both), En je ziet nog eens wat (a delightful re-read and I loved that it all took place in Africa), Stewardess (one of them) (pretty OK book, though a bit boring at times, still I liked reading about her job), Costa del Sol (this was such a good read though the ending was a bit over the top in my opinion).
From my Kindle I read: Scandalous Passions (oh my goodness this was good and steamy).

I tried and dropped: De zoetzure smaak van dromen (I thought it would be only about the Chinese restaurant but it turned into more and got boring, plus the time skips got confusing), De Expat (so boring and the MC was annoying), Achter Mekka (definitely would work in the time it came out.. now it felt not right at times), Een nacht in bazaar bizaar (it would have been a good book if the thoughts weren’t put in separate bubbles around the story thus being very distracting), Stewardess (this book was just about her times in a number of countries, not what I want to read), Ciao Sicilia (the MC was not likeable, she was kidnapped, but also not, and she shot a man…).
From my Kindle I tried Lori and Max (just wasn’t a fan of the writing or the characters).

Here is a new stack of books! Library books I want to read (plus new ones from Library #1) and 1 book I really want to read this weekend. It is a big stack, but again, I like to have lots of choice because my reading all depends on my mood.
Also a couple of books on Kindle I still want to really read (or continue looks at Oddmire), hopefully I will get to them and like them.

And that concludes this week’s Sunday’s TBR Updates! Thanks for reading and I hope you all have a fantastic (and safe) week with plenty of good reads.
