Waiting on Wednesday (Vacation Edition) ~ Watch Over Me
Evening all!
Welcome to a brand-new Waiting on Wednesday! This week I am featuring Watch Over Me!
I am very excited about the book, but while it is coming out on my hubby’s birthday… I will probably have to wait a bit longer because this is the hardcover and I find those way too expensive so I wait for the paperback. But I still want to feature this book as it sounds absolutely amazing and I really really need it.
I am curious about the farm, the traumas, and all that is happening there. I want to know more about Mila and what has happened to her (though one can guess give I have heard a lot about that foster care system).
Also that cover is just WOW!
Mila is used to being alone. Maybe that’s why she said yes to the opportunity: living in this remote place, among the flowers and the fog and the crash of waves far below.
But she hadn’t known about the ghosts.
Newly graduated from high school, Mila has aged out of the foster care system. So when she’s offered a job and a place to stay at a farm on an isolated part of the Northern California Coast, she immediately accepts. Maybe she will finally find a new home, a real home. The farm is a refuge, but also haunted by the past traumas its young residents have come to escape. And Mila’s own terrible memories are starting to rise to the surface.

This sounds amazing! I’m the same- I very rarely buy a hardback.
Yay! I hope we both can read it~ I would love it if HBs became a bit more normally priced.
