Review for Polar Bear and UFO

Polar Bear and the UFO, Cynthia C. Huijgens, Polar Bear, UFO, Arctic Circle, Night, Journey, Space, Children's Books, Picture BooksI received this book from the author in exchange of an honest review.

A cute story about a polar bear who is very hungry and who finds, instead of a seal, an UFO in his water hole. Yep, this is a book with a fun sci-fi twist!

The poor polar bear is hungry, it is getting harder for them to find food, but he keeps on looking at the hole in the ice. Hoping that he may just find something yummy instead of snow and water. I had such a giggle when he went into the water and found… an UFO, or I should say YOO-FO. From then on a galactic adventure begins when our UFO helps out his new friend to some food. But do polar bears like space food? Well, I won’t tell you, you will just have to read the book to find that one out. I can however tell you that the journey takes them along many planets while our bear just casually sits on top or next to the dome of the UFO.

I do feel sorry for the polar bear and I hope that he has more luck with a seal soon. Maybe he should do what the YOO-FO told him, bring a net, try a different tactic.

The ending had me laughing so much. Oh polar bear!

The art was pretty good, the style was quite nice, I liked how our polar bear was drawn and seeing other animals from the arctic as well.

All in all, a fun space adventure featuring a hungry polar bear.
