The End of Summer Book Tag 2020 Edition

Afternoon all!

Welcome to the End of Summer Book Tag! Summer is ending for good tomorrow, so I thought before it ends, let me put in this tag!

I found this tag over at Howlinglibraries and they got it from Storme Reads A Lot. Be sure to check out both these bloggers~

I will be missing summer, it was a good summer, though we couldn’t do a lot due to corona. At least camping was possible, though it was 95% of being near the tent or, when it wasn’t busy, go to the lake. I cannot wait until next year when summer means going outside and do fun things. Go on walks again. Visit places. I cannot wait.

But I am also looking forward to fall. I just love the season, with trees changing colours, losing their leaves, to drinking hot chocolate while reading a good book. And of course fall means Halloween!

1. What was your favorite book this summer?

Secrets, Q, Christina Dalcher , Yellow, Black, Dystopia, Sci-Fi,

Just ONE? OMG. Tough question! Let’s see, then I will pick this book. That one was just amazing.

2. What was your least favorite book this summer?
Llama Out Loud!, Annabelle Sami, Allen Fatimaharan, Red, Llama, Annoying Animal, Girl, Colourful, Parents, Children's Books, Illustrations, Magic, Fantasy, Friendship, Chess

Definitely this book. The Llama was just aggravating, way too bullying, and mean.

3. What book do you wish you read this summer?
A Darker Shade of Magic, Shades of Magic, V.E. Schwab, Cape, Silhouette, Map, White, Red, White Letters, Fantasy, Young Adult

This one. I have had this one for a couple of months, but I am just not getting to it. But I am hoping to read it during October’s spooky month!

4. What was your favorite classic you read this summer?

I don’t read classics. I got a couple I like, but none that I would reread any time soon. Thanks to highschool.. I was really put off from reading classics and adult fiction… While I did go back to adult fiction after years, classics, just nope. And it almost drove me away from reading all together. Forced reading = a big no no.

5. Did you stray into a different genre and pick up a new and exciting book?

Nope, as I already read everything I can read. From crime to romance from children’s books to adult.

6. What was your favorite movie adaptation this summer?

Eh, I don’t think I really watched a lot of movies during the summer. I haven’t really had Netflix on a lot for movies. I so miss going to the cinema. sighs

7. What was your favorite new book release?
Cis Meijer, Jacht, Young Adult, Thriller, Mystery, Forest, Woods, Silhouette, DollsI Stole My Genius Sister's Brain, Jo Simmons, Nathan Reed, Inventions, Parrot, Bird, Girl, Boy, Lightning Bolts, Humour, Funny, Inventions, Illustrations, Sister, Brother, Family, Quiz, Children's Books, Blue

OH MAN, I got so many new favourite releases. So I will pick a Dutch and an English release.

  1. cracking list and I love your honesty about the classics. Such a shame that school has done that to so many people. You said you had a couple you like, I and your readers would be interested to hear which.

    1. Aww, it took me a while to be open about it though, some people value classics very highly and can be very rude if you don’t like them. Mm, I guess I could add them to the question, not now however as it is just too late, but tomorrow. 🙂
