Say Boo! Juliana O'Neill, Mummy, Graves, Moon, Stars, Owl, Trick or Treat, Pumpkins, Candy, Reading Stars, Halloween, Picture Books, Educational, Fun, Cute, Spoopy, Children's BooksI received this book from BookSirens in exchange of an honest review.

I spotted this book and I thought why not, I could always use some more Halloween cute books. Spoopy books!

This one is part of a special series that teaches kids words. Each book contains just 50 words with many repetitions so kids can learn in a fun and engaging way. Before the book begins there are tips for parents how how to help them out while reading this book. A great addition, with great tips. In the end we get a “I am a Reading Star because I can read the words in this book:” which lists all words. I loved that this was done. It gives a list of the words again, but also makes it feel more like an achievement to the kids.

Back to the story, in this one it is all about Halloween, and specifically about saying BOO. Say BOO to your friends, to the witch in the sky, or the wonderful day of Halloween. We see all sorts of things we can say Boo to, and I had fun seeing what we would say Boo to next. Normally I am not that big of a fan of repetition, but with this book I knew it was done for a special purpose and that made it better for me.

I loved seeing all sorts of spooky things happening and fun events leading up to the big night of Halloween! Costumes! Candy! Party! Yas! The ending was a bit weird to me, a bit grim.

I am also quite a fan of the art which is cute and in the appropriate colours for Halloween (orange/green/purple/black).

All in all I had fun reading this picture book. I think it would definitely help out kids with learning to read and makes it fun.

Star rating, 3.5 stars
