The Birthday Book Tag
Hello all!
Today is my birthday! does a happy dance and throws around glitter So I though why not do a brand-new book tag to celebrate this event~ My birthday plans include watching movies, ordering McDonalds, gaming, and unwrapping presents. Hopefully next year my hubby and I can do something exciting again, but this year is still corona, so I am making the best of the day.
The original creator of this tag is Antonia over at Always Books!
Let’s get started~
Mmm, I just cannot think of one.
2 – PARTY GUESTS – your most anticipated book release this year
JUST ONE? Wow, you make it hard! But OK, let’s see. Mm, this one? Maybe that one? No no, let’s go with this one! I am just a sucker for books about the Mary legend and I just CANNOT wait to read this one, the cover definitely scares the wits out of me. 😛
3 – BIRTHDAY PRESENTS – a book that surprised you with how much you loved it
I recently finished this one and it was a truly slow start. It took me until the second part for me to like it and then it grew into love. I hadn’t expected me to love it so much, especially given the beginning. It turned out to be such a fun and great book about making decisions, thinking about life, and was also filled with romance and funny moments.
4 – THE HAPPY BIRTHDAY SONG – a book that certainly deserved all the hype it got
Definitely this book by Karen McManus. Dang what a ride it was!
5 – HAPPY MUSIC – a book with some very beautiful and truly memorable quotes
SO MANY BOOKS! But I will go with this series.
6 – GETTING OLDER – a book that you read a long time ago, but you think that you would appreciate it more if you read it as a more mature reader
I think I will go with either the left or the right (though the right is a trilogy). The left has a complex story which I understood pretty well when I was a teen but I wouldn’t mind re-reading and see if I can spot new details, the right is about a country with women rulers and I think I want to re-read that given the current events and would also appreciate it more now I am older.
7 – SWEET BIRTHDAY MEMORIES – a book that kept you incredibly happy during a sad or demanding period of your life
Phew, I don’t know. I finish most my books within a day, if not sooner, so there isn’t one specific book as my sad/demanding periods last way longer than a few hours/a day. So this is a shout-out to all my 5 and 5+ starred books over this past year and over the years before that when my mental health wasn’t too good. Thank you for making my life a bit more bearable, more happy.
And that is it for this very fun tag! I am off to celebrate my birthday and have a good day!
