Sunday’s TBR Updates ~ 18-4-2021
Afternoon all!!
Happy Sunday to all and a happy welcome to a new Sunday’s TBR Updates!
So this week was amazing. My hubby and I rented a small cottage/bungalow at Centre Parcs from Monday to Friday. Everything except supermarket and take-away was closed, but we didn’t mind. We just wanted a quiet place to get away from all the COVID stress/mental health going down due to lockdowns and such. We wanted to be away from our home. We bicycled a lot, went walking in forests and parks, and just relaxed. It really helped us both! We definitely want to go back to Centre Parcs next year when things are open again (provided next year is more normal, haha) so we can enjoy it even more.
Reading-wise, well I managed to read several books! I am very happy that I listened to my bookworm self and brought along books.
What did I read from my Special TBR: Library Wars #10 (delightful fun though really those two should just confess already), Nodame Cantabile (exams, romance, and orchestra, oh yes), Hellsing #2 (ohhhhhhhhhhhh), Juf er is een kind kwijt (hilarious, but I wasn’t a fan that it was not one teacher but many, very confusing), Tsunami Girl (gorgeous and lyrical), Nooit zeggen dat je nicht kan zingen (I laughed so many times, this was fab).
What did I read from my TBR stack the week before? Fairy Tales of Remnant (beautiful and I definitely am eager for more RWBY books), Yoghurt (a very yummy book with some delicious recipes I want to try out), Grenadier (funny, though also still very chaotic), Hellsing (YAASSSSS), The Wild (an amazing book with survival and murder and I loved it), My Hime (the final volume and omg it was just the best though the end was a bit rushed), Library Wars #9 (great! I love the stories).
Here is a giant new stack of books! The new Dutch books I bought 2 weeks ago, a library book, some re-reads (Abarat and the three manga), 1 minilibrary book, and some English books. I am HYPED about this stack because I have some amazing books on this one.
And that is it for this week’s Sunday’s TBR! Thank you all for reading and I hope you all have a wonderful week filled with books and more. Stay Safe.
