Review for Beehive
A fun book layered in the shape of a beehive in which you will learn, layer by layer, all about bees.
I so love bees, they are adorable, OK, well most of them. Haha. So I was excited to read this book. I was definitely surprised when I got it from the library. I had expected a normal book about bees. But instead this book is delightfully shaped as a beehive! And to make things even more fun? It is all layered. Each layer brings you closer to the center of the hive.
Each layer has something special happening and on the back of that layer (the back of the page) we get some information on what is happening. From how honey is saved and what honey is to cleaning the hive and how bees pee/poo. We read about various bees from workers to the queen bee. We read about winters and summers. And it was all just so interesting to read and the layers really made it an unique and fun experience.
After the beehive has been opened up there is some extra information on the next two pages. On the people who care for bees and their hives, to special hives, to honey, to other basic information pertaining bees. It was fun to read and I like that the story didn’t just end with the bees.
The art was really cute and fun, I love the style. The bees were just adorable.
All in all, if you want to know more about bees be sure to check out this book! You won’t be disappointed.
