Review for Animal Colors

Review for Animal Colors

Animal Colors, Toucan, Rainbow, Yellow, Nikolas Ilic, Non-Fiction, Children's Books, Picture BooksI received this book from Netgalley in exchange of an honest review.

A bit confused as Amazon states these three books (Animal ABC, 123 Animals, and Animal Colors) to be released on 20th of July while Netgalley suddenly changed the date to August. I am just going to adhere to the old date and the one that Amazon states.

This is the third book in the series and instead of numbers or ABCs we get colours! All the colours! And of course, as expected given the other books, animals. From yellow lions to orange foxes to black panthers! We even get two animals per colour. I was very surprised (in a happy way) about that. I thought maybe one per colour, or maybe even a group of animals. But no, we get tons of animals and also their sounds! Well, at least one of the two animals per colour has a sound. The other just looks adorable/cute/menacing/like he hasn’t had a snack in a few hours. I really liked which animals were picked and had fun flipping the pages to see what colour and what animals would be next!

I loved that we ended on rainbow and even got a overview on all the animals featured along with some text.

The art was really really fun, but I guess you all know that given I have written two other reviews for this series. Haha, but I have to keep mentioning it, because it really is great.

I hope that this illustrator/author makes more children’s books like this. They are cute, pretty, and educational. Oh, and also often quite funny due to the faces or due to something else. I would highly recommend these books to all! Kids and adults will love these colourful books!
