Review for Michelle Obama

Review for Michelle Obama

Michelle Obama, Little People Big Dreams, Ma Isabel Sánchez Vegara, Mia Saine, Non-Fiction, Children's Books, Picture BooksI received this book from Netgalley in exchange of an honest review.

I was so excited when I saw this book on Netgalley. Michelle Obama is such an amazing person and I was curious to learn more about her and how she became the woman she is today.

I loved reading about her youth, how despite some struggles she got where she wanted to be. How hard she studied to be the very best. But also how in-between all the studying she found time to run a care centre. I loved reading about her bond with her parents, I wish I had such a bond with my parents!
And of course… we get to the part where she meets Obama and how her life got even more exciting and big. I loved reading about all the things she did, from growing vegetables and how that turned into her #1 cause: food and fitness. I loved reading about the things she did for girls and the youth in general. I knew several things about that already, but still great to read about it!

Sadly, just like the Prince book in this series, the last part featuring the timeline once again doesn’t have words. Just pictures. I always love that timeline part as it gives some additional information. So it is just a shame that once again it is incomplete.

The art was really fun and I just LOVE LOVE the style of it. Yes, the eyes are a bit weird at times. XD

I am happy I had the chance to read this book. This series is just so inspirational and fun to read. I learn new things about people I like/have an interest in. And I also love that we get another artist for each of them. Perfectly fitting with the person the book is about.
