Sunday’s TBR Updates ~ 18-7-2021

Afternoon all!

Bakemonogatari, Books, Gif, Red Books, Girl, Boy, Diving/Jumping, Anime

A summery welcome to a new Sunday’s TBR Updates! Happy Sunday!

This week was busy and full, but also had fun moments. On Tuesday my husband and I went to World of Dinos in The Hague and visited Library #3 as well. Then on Thursday I visited Library #4.
Mental-health-wise… OK-ish, but with the corona stuff rising again… I am worried. I don’t want another lockdown. I don’t want months of nothing. Plus, I worry constantly about family and friends again. It seemed to go really well here so I could relax but now things are UP again and not good.
Reading-wise, good week! I was forced to take some reading breaks in between the busy parts (my husband is very strict, I am grudgingly confessing that without him I probably would have just gone on, so I am thankful he helps me stop and take a break). I read some books from Netgalley TBR, read books from my TBR, and also read two books I bought recently~

What did I read from my TBR? Ding in de ruimte (hilarious and so much fun to read), De verborgen verteller (adventure, stories, and much more, I loved it), Het kippetje dat de zee wilde zien (this was tons of fun, I loved the island and the romance), Ministerie van hysterie (OK-ish, some parts made me laugh others were just boring), Toestand in Tunesië (had fun reading this story featuring treasure and smugglers), Vos en Haas (I was frustrated with Owl but liked the story in the end), Noem me Nathan (WOW), Sprookjes met de kleur van Henna (OK, the way it was written was not my thing, but I did like the stories).

I tried and DNF-ed: Ziggy Stardust & Me (the writing style was so off, plus I was horrified by the conversion therapy part), The Mission House (yawn + I thought this one took place way earlier, not just a few years ago), Aardappelen (started OK, but just dragged on),  Ik denk dat ik het kan (I would have liked more personal stories).

Here is a new stack! Featuring some left-over Library #2 books, one new book from Library #3, and a few new books from Library #4. I cannot wait to read these books. But I also want to read some ARCs on my Kindle. We will see what I can read. Haha.

That is it for this week’s Sunday’s TBR Updates! I cannot wait to read these books and I hope next week goes a bit better in regards to Corona. crosses fingers I hope everyone has a good and safe week and that it is also filled with tons of good books.
