Waiting on Wednesday ~ Nothing But Blackened Teeth by Cassandra Khaw
Evening all~
A happy welcome to a shiny new Waiting on Wednesday! Today I am eagerly waiting for Nothing But Blackened Teeth by Cassandra Khaw which is set to release October 19th!
So I just need this book! I mean the cover is scary (please, let it mean that it is scary inside and not like another scary cover have a not so scary story) and frightens me to bits and then there is the blurb and WOW, Japanese folklore? A mansion from the Heian Era? Thrill-seeking people (what could possibly go wrong, right?)? I cannot WAIT for this book and I hope it scares me to bits. It is also perfect that it comes out in October as I am always looking for spooky books to read that month (Halloweeeeeeeeeeen~).
Cassandra Khaw’s Nothing But Blackened Teeth is a gorgeously creepy haunted house tale, steeped in Japanese folklore and full of devastating twists.
A Heian-era mansion stands abandoned, its foundations resting on the bones of a bride and its walls packed with the remains of the girls sacrificed to keep her company.
It’s the perfect wedding venue for a group of thrill-seeking friends.
But a night of food, drinks, and games quickly spirals into a nightmare. For lurking in the shadows is the ghost bride with a black smile and a hungry heart.
And she gets lonely down there in the dirt.
