Library Haul ~ 2-10-2021 (Library #2 + Library #3)

Afternoon everyone!!

Nyarko GIF, Books, All the books

Welcome to a new Library Haul post! Yesterday I had a very fun day visiting Library #2 and #3!

So it was HIGH HIGH time to get to visiting. Not just because the books had to go back… but also because I was in a need for new books to read and devour. Normally we visit Library #2 first, but this time we flipped it around as I wanted to visit a shop near Library #2 (Halllowweeeen stufff).

At Library #3 I was so happy to find 3 books that had been on my OHH I would like to read those list but hadn’t had a chance as well… budgets. But thankfully the library added them. At the children/YA department there was no luck, plus I was sad that they didn’t have a big display up for the upcoming Children’s Books Week, just a little bit in a corner. Oh, but I did have luck at the graphic novel/comic department, I found several books there (very happy about Tram 5 and Liefde in Oorlogstijd). Sadly, I also had to find a librarian because people are just so disgusting. There was trash between the books + a very weird icky stain dripping from the shelves. There is a trashcan like 2 metres away. Bah!

Then on to Library #2 where I had 29 reservations waiting for me, which meant I could have a fun walk around. And I found quite a few books to add to my stack. Some picture books that looked too adorable to pass, some cute non-fiction.

Oh, and I didn’t know I would ever be saying this, but I miss Corona. This sounds weird, but with no rules anymore, people are just plain rude and don’t even have an ounce of patience or politeness. People just push past. And at Library #2 I was at one of the desks to check out my books and I was hunting down my reservations which are on the shelves next to this desk. I already had several books on the desk waiting for me, and suddenly a mom with two kids just dropped her books on the desk and started to check them out. Not even asking me anything. WTF? I even commented that if any of my books would end up on her card it is her problem and not mine and she could go and solve the problem. 😐 Thankfully everything went fine, but seriously. Just wait, or at least ask.

STATS: 41 books at Library #2 (first three stacks) and 10 books at Library #3 (last stack). 9 non-fiction, 6 picture books, 9 comics/graphic novels, 27 fiction.
