Waiting on Wednesday ~ Reminders of Him by Colleen Hoover
Evening all~
Welcome to a shiny new WoW post! Yep! And this week I am ABSOLUTELY HYPED about the book I am featuring, it is the new Colleen Hoover book!
It’s been a while since I last read a CH book, I did read a novella in 2020 and loved it, but I haven’t read a full novel since well… 2017? Ish? Around the time that Without Merit and Never Never came around which were just train wrecks I kind of fell out of love with her writing and was more hesitant about the books and in the end just didn’t read them. But I want to get back into it and her new book just sounds amazing, second chances, romance, and building a new future. I am so curious about the mistakes and if she is able to connect with her daughter. And I know that CH can write some AMAZING romances so I am looking forward to that. Also, I love the cover, the colours, the fact there are birds on there (hope/freedom).
Now I just got to way until January. XD I guess I could see if one of my libraries has her earlier releases in English (still want to check out All Your Perfects and Regretting You).
A troubled young mother yearns for a shot at redemption in this heartbreaking yet hopeful story from #1 New York Times bestselling author Colleen Hoover.
After serving five years in prison for a tragic mistake, Kenna Rowan returns to the town where it all went wrong, hoping to reunite with her four-year-old daughter. But the bridges Kenna burned are proving impossible to rebuild. Everyone in her daughter’s life is determined to shut Kenna out, no matter how hard she works to prove herself.
The only person who hasn’t closed the door on her completely is Ledger Ward, a local bar owner and one of the few remaining links to Kenna’s daughter. But if anyone were to discover how Ledger is slowly becoming an important part of Kenna’s life, both would risk losing the trust of everyone important to them.
The two form a connection despite the pressure surrounding them, but as their romance grows, so does the risk. Kenna must find a way to absolve the mistakes of her past in order to build a future out of hope and healing.
