Sunday’s TBR Updates ~ 16-1-2022
Afternoon all!!!!
Welcome all to a new Sunday’s TBR Updates. Where do the weeks go? XD
This week was just OK. Nothing big happened. Well, OK, the lockdown got loosened a bit. Non-essential stores, fitness centres are open again! The rest (cafes/restaurants/outdoor stuff/cinemas/theatres/and some other stuff) is still closed. But at least we can do a few more things. Oh, and I fixed up my library attic with new shelving. I got myself a Kallax (well, three of them, one 5×5, one 3×3, and one 2×2). I got so much room right now!
Reading-wise, a good week! Had fun reading, but also encountered some not so good books that I DNF-ed. 🙁
What did I read from my TBR this week? I Lost my Granny at the Supermarket (OMG, this was just absolutely brilliant, I laughed so much), Huda F Are You? (interesting and fun), Keith Haring (interesting with great info + photographs, though the information felt like it was not originally English but another language), Lennox en de gouden sikkel (this was such a fun story, interesting and educational about a disease), Het andere koek boek (a lot I cannot make due to allergies/etc., but this was a pretty book and I loved to read about the families), Worsten van Babel (fun, but also a tad boring), Ardennen (OMG, I want to go even more now, too bad about Corona and other things XD), Het mooiste meisje was een jongen (interesting book and I was rooting for Darren though the child abuse parts were a big freaking NOPE), De liefde (awwwwwww, so cute), De violist van Birkenau (pretty, gorgeous, sad, but also missing something).
I tried and DNF-ed The Gravity of Us (the MC was just selfish at points, I found him harsh, and I am saying NOPE to people who cheat), Date me Bryson Keller (Loved it for most, but the bi-erasure was just too much for me, people can be more than just straight or gay, thanks).
Here is a big shiny new stack! With library books and my own books. Including 5 new books! 3 were orders from Amazon and finally came in and the the top two books, well yesterday the bookstores finally opened again and so I just had to visit. XD
And that concludes this week’s TBR Updates! This was fun and I cannot wait to read the books~ Wish me luck! I hope everyone has a great (and safe) week! Let me know in the comments what you want to read this week or if anything looks good on my TBR stack~
